How Do You Like to Receive Your Product or Service?

The late Steve Jobs was as obsessed with the packaging for Apple products as he was with the product itself. It had to be beautiful, sturdy, and clean. It had to be wrapped in such a way that that when the customer received their product it was like opening a wrapped gift from your family. He wanted it to be an experience.

My husband has been like that as well? He is a caricature artist for events and many of his artist colleagues will roll up the picture when completed and hand it to the customer just as a sheet of paper. My husband however believes that the product should be put into a nice simple bag and professionally presented so the customer feels as though they are part of an experience.

Doing translation of documents much of our work is presentations, brochures, and work that has been designed in a certain way. Our motto for our company is that you receive your product as a finished product the way you gave it to us. The same as when you borrow someone’s car for a day and then return it, you return it the way they gave it to you or cleaner.

I had a conversation with a friend not too long ago that felt our job was just to translate the text and not get into designing the finished product. We feel if the customer gave us a document in a certain format then we give it back to them in the same format only translated to the best of our abilities. We don’t want our business to be like an Ikea project where we translate it and then you have to put it together.

So the next time you are looking for a service provider think of Steve Jobs or my husband Bruce. The packaging and presentation are just as important as the translation itself. We want you to have an over all experience.
