Translating Hard Work to Olympic Medals

Way to go Canada! Outridge Translation Services is all about Canadian Pride and we are excited to see so many athletes doing well in the Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina 2026. I have always loved the Olympics coming from a small town in Quebec Canada. Ice and snow were regular occurrences in my part of the Country and remain so to this day. Maybe that’s why there are so many amazing Olympians based out of Quebec Canada.

One of my favourite sports is skating, we used to do a lot of skating as a kid in rural Quebec. Although we didn’t have the talent of the Olympian athletes we sure enjoyed the ice. Congratulations to Steven Dubois from Laval Quebec for winning the short track speed skating in Milano and to Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier for winning in the ice dance category.

Ice Dance Highlight

My experience with skiing is keeping both skis on the ground but I must admit that I am amazed at the height, distance, and talent that goes into flying down a mountain at lightning speed while doing some fancy trick and then landing on your feet without crashing. Congratulations to Canadian skier Mikael Kingsbury for winning medals this year.

While the games are still ongoing I would like to take a moment to wish all Canadian athletes success no matter what sports they play. Canada we are proud of you and know that you are top at what you do.
