Hit the Road to Eastern Townships Quebec

Summer is a great time to hit the road to the Eastern Townships of Quebec. If starting in Toronto Ontario it will take you about eight hours to reach the Eastern Townships. This area is the heart of Quebec and where I grew up as a kid in a small town called Thetford Mines. In fact my family still lives in smaller towns in the surrounding area. Why not make it a trip of culture with food, wine, and more.

Quebec is known for their food especially their bagels, poutine, and Curd Cheese. Eat the curd cheese right out of the packet and you’ll know it’s fresh if it squeaks. Every region has their own version of the famous poutine dish so don’t be afraid to have more than one! After you finish eating or as you eat along the way you will want to stop at many beautiful shops and towns. There are many wineries and things to do in the Eastern Township area. You can learn about them here.

This area of Quebec is very beautiful. It is also well located to travel to other areas with a short drive like Quebec City, Vermont U.S.A and more. If you’re looking to take that Summer road trip this is a great destination.

Enjoy your trip and experience the beautiful Province of Quebec. Make sure you practice your French and enjoy the culture of a great Province.
